VOLUME 001
AMPLIFICATION THROUGH
GEOMETRY, NOT FORCE.
Logan Richardson · 2026
The instrument does not need to be forced into resonance. It needs to be given the geometry through which resonance can occur.
An inquiry into the anatomy of sound—from the hands of the repairer to the body of the player.
Drawing from decades of playing, repairing, listening, and building, Logan Richardson examines the saxophone not simply as an instrument, but as a system of interacting geometries: bore, tone holes, pads, resonators, keywork, mouthpiece, reed, air, and body.
Technical observation and artistic philosophy remain deliberately distinct—but continually inform one another.
