LO HA WATTS

LO HA WATTS

Logan Richardson · Harish Raghavan· Jeff “Tain” Watts

LO HA WATTS is an explosive trio led by saxophonist and composer Logan Richardson, joined by two of the most dynamic forces in modern creative music: Harish Raghavan on bass, and Jeff “Tain” Watts on drums. The group merges fire, discipline and fearless sonic exploration into a raw, deeply expressive sound that is unmistakably its own.

Built around Richardson’s melodic futurism and rhythmic architecture, the trio moves between intensity and stillness—balancing groove, abstraction, beauty and ritual energy. Watts brings extraordinary power, unpredictability and mastery of momentum; Raghavan anchors the music with depth, clarity and expansive harmonic intelligence.

The result is a band that feels both ancient and forward-leaning: rooted in Black American musical lineage while pushing into new emotional and structural terrain. LO HA WATTS delivers performances that are urgent, cathartic and boldly human—a trio in full command of the moment, transforming every stage into a space of invention.

THE MUSIC

LO HA WATTS is built around the immediacy of three voices. Saxophone, bass and drums operate without harmonic excess, leaving space for melody, rhythm, silence and spontaneous interaction to determine the direction of the music.

Richardson’s compositions provide architecture without closing the music down. Raghavan’s bass moves between foundation, counterpoint and harmonic expansion, while Watts uses rhythm as an independent compositional force. The trio can move from groove to abstraction, density to silence, without abandoning its center.

Each performance is therefore both composition and event: the written material establishes a language, but the musicians determine its final form in real time.
