ABOUT
Logan Richardson Studios (LRS) is an independent creative studio operating across music, sound, film, instrument design, physical objects, technology and research. Founded and led by artist and Creative Director Logan Richardson, LRS functions as both a production house and an evolving laboratory—a space where artistic practice, experimentation and development exist within a single ecosystem.
The studio’s work extends from recordings, composition and live performance to interdisciplinary projects, instrument development and acoustic research. Through projects including A Living Score, blues PEOPLE, LO HA WATTS, BŌ and Bōjutsu R&D Labs LA, LRS develops work that moves freely between the stage, studio, screen, workshop and laboratory.
Rather than separating art from the processes and technologies used to create it, Logan Richardson Studios approaches them as parts of the same practice. Sound can become an object. An instrument can become a site of research. A performance can become a living composition. A recording can exist as both document and physical artifact.
At its center is a commitment to independent authorship, experimentation and the development of original creative language—from the initial idea through research, production, performance and release.
