A Living Score is not a concert.
It is an exploration.
A search through sound, memory, place, and possibility.
Inspired by the improbable overlap of Kansas City legends such as Charlie Parker, Ben Webster, Big Joe Turner, Burt Bacharach, and Walt Disney, Searching for Charlie Parker asks a larger question:
How does a city create greatness?
Through live performance, storytelling, improvisation, visual elements, and audience participation, Logan Richardson transforms the theater into a living composition where the score is written in real time.
Part performance.
Part investigation.
Part celebration of Kansas City’s cultural legacy.
One night only.
